My research interests fall under a few different disciplines, but they tend to cluster around rethinking North American regional studies by using existing European models. I have a primary geographic focus on Pennsylvania, the Mid-Atlantic states, and the wider ecological area of the Northeastern Woodlands. Specific topics of interest include American linguistics, history, Catholic liturgy, and ecology.
